Passport Information for Austrian citizens who received citizenship as descendants of
victims of the National Socialist regime according to paragraph 58c StbG
If you wish to apply for an Austrian passport, please book an appointment online via the

The application has to be made in person, all applicants including children and newborns
must be present at the Embassy when applying for a passport. Verification of identity,
fingerprinting and a signature in front of the government authority are mandatory. Please
ensure you will only bring the documents listed below.
Kindly note that your/your child’s passport application requires the documents listed below:
- Filled out application form
- Filled out Affidavit Adult/Child
- Citizenship notification (Bescheid) + photocopy
- 1 new biometric passport photograph according to EU-criteria for Passport-
photographs (ICAO standard), the photograph must not be older than 6 months

- Current passport + photocopy of data page
- Proof of residence (e.g. electricity/gas bill, bank statement; not older than 3 months)
+ photocopy
- Fee with debit card (fees are listed on our website)
- for minor children: both parents (if both legal guardians) must give their consent to
the passport application of the child, either by signing the form or by written
declaration of consent and providing a copy of their passport and child’s birth
certificate

Processing time of your application, once all necessary documents have been received, is
currently two to three weeks. Your passport will be sent to your home address.
