COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTCOMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
In 2021-22 roughly 4,500 students participated in 90,000 hours
of community engagement through coursework and co-curricular
activities, in support of such community issues as economic develop-
ment, education, food security, health, housing security, and sustain-
ability. Community engagement gives students the chance to apply
learning, develop professional skills, and forge social connections
while making a positive impact within our surrounding communities.
The Center for Community Engagement works to ensure all students
have the chance to develop real-world skills by supporting programs
that connect students with the community and each other.
