NAME CHANGE AND NAME CORRCTION POLICY V1
The following important information applies to name corrections:
The correct first and last name(s) of the passenger travelling needs to be entered exactly as in
the government issued Passport or ID book or card. Entering a middle name is optional and a
maximum of two middle names is permitted. There is a character limitation for the name field.
Name corrections will only be permitted on wholly unused 4Z/749 issued tickets. Airlink is unable
to help with name changes/corrections if an itinerary contains segments on other carriers and/or
codeshare flights. This applies only to E-tickets and not EMDs.
Name corrections for incorrect spelling, maximum 3 characters are done at no charge.
Name corrections can only be processed directly through any Airlink ATO and CTO office
including 4Z GSAs and not online nor by the travel agent.
Name corrections must be done no later than 2 hours prior to the local scheduled time of
departure.
Name corrections applies on Airlink Regional and Domestic operated flights.
The travel agent or current ticket holder shall email the relevant Airlink ATO, CTO, GSA or 4Z
Reservations support desk (specialassistance@flyairlink.com) with written consent to do the
name correction and retain the same booking class. No Annex “A” Name Change Request form
is required. An e-mailed copy of the Government issued ID or Passport is required to support the
name correction.
Change last name due to Marriage or Divorce
The travel agent or ticket holder must email the relevant Airlink ATO, CTO, GSA or 4Z
Reservations support desk (specialassistance@flyairlink.com) with written consent to
change the last name and retain the same booking class. No Annex “A” Name Change
Request form is required. An e-mailed copy of the Government issued ID or Passport and
official marriage certificate or divorce document is required to support the last name change
for travel solely within South Africa.
For Regional travel the following 2 options are available:
(a) Do a replacement name change and pay administration fee in same booking class unless
pax require to change to a new flight and date subject to class availability and fare/tax
difference; or
(b) Purchase a new ticket in same booking class. Create a new PNR. The old ticket must be
sent for a refund.
