Quick Start Guide
What is the FSA Online Loan Application?
The FSA Online Loan Applicaon (OLA) tool allows applicants requesng Direct Loan
assistance from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Service Agency
(FSA) the ability to access a secure online portal where they can complete their loan
applicaon, upload supporng documents, pay the required credit report fee, and submit the
applicaon for processing.
Important Note
The inial release of
OLA in 2023 will only be
available for applicants
who are operang as an
INDIVIDUAL. Expansion
to informal enes
(including married couples
applying jointly) and legal
enes (Partnerships, LLCs,
Corporaons, etc.) is planned
for future releases.

• Determine your loan needs and assess your eligibility. Get help by using the Loan
Assistance Tool (LAT).
• Ensure you have a USDA individual customer record linked to a USDA Level 2
eAuthencaon account. Visit farmers.gov/account or contact your local USDA
Service Center for assistance.
• Have required supporng documents ready to upload prior to logging in. A checklist for
required documents can be found HERE.
ACCESS THE FSA
ONLINE LOAN
APPLICATION
Find OLA using links
at following locaons:
▪ Farmers.gov
("Apply Online”)
▪ At the end of the
LAT process
LOG IN
Click Customer
Use your Level 2 eAuth
User ID and password or
use your Login.gov ID
and password
START YOUR
ONLINE LOAN
APPLICATION
Click Start
Follow the prompts as
you work your way
through the Online Loan
Applicaon
Monitor your progress
using the color coded
status indicator along the
le side of your screen
COMPLETE YOUR
APPLICATION
When you have
completed all secons
and are sasfied with
your applicaon, click
Submit
Review the compleon
message and click Done
APPLY
NEXT STEPS
Monitor your applicaon status in the Applicaons secon of the Online Loan Applicaon.

7 CALENDAR DAYS
Within 7 calendar days of your OLA submission,
FSA will send you a leer that will tell you if your
applicaon is complete or if addional informaon
is needed.
